Barcelona received a shock support from the RFEF prior to their incoming La Liga -Backing against Osasuna on March 27.
The joint decision of La Liga and the RFEF to re -arrange the Barcelona home game with Osasuna on that date has been frustrated by both clubs.
Objections were sent from Catalonia and Pamplona, because the new date did not meet the rules of FIFA for players who rest for at least 72 hours between competitions for club or country needed.
However, the tightness of the calendar dictated differently and both calls were rejected while the game stays in place.
Barcelona will have the majority of their team back from the international service – with exceptions that are expected to be Ronald Araujo and Raphinha – travel back from South America – but the team of Hansi Flick will have little time to prepare.
Flick will judge his team in the coming days, but reports from Marca confirm the call from the RFEF to release three Barcelona players early from the U21 obligation, prior to their friendly in Germany.
Fermin Lopez, Pablo Torre and Gerard Martin all go back to Barcelona with the last reserved as a possible option to cover the Pau Cubarsi injury.
Lopez and Torre could get some playing time with a large number of midfielders who play two consecutive games with their national teams, including Pedri and Frenkie de Jong.
Lopez and Martin both completed 75 minutes in the U21S 2-2 friendly draw against the Czech Republic last week, with Torre for the final phase, but they are not necessary for a non-competitive game in Germany.
The Santi Denia team has already protected their place in the UEFA Euro U21 tournament this summer with its side who wants to avenge their final loss of 2023 against England.
La Rojita is placed in group A next to host country Slovakia, Italy and Romania.
