He recently returned from a hamstring injury, and that is the cause of his absence at the moment. Neither Williams nor Oihan Sancet trained with the group on Monday, but both have a chaace to return for Old Trafford.
At Williams, however, there is further concern that he might require more treatment. The same exhaust valve says that there will be a meeting between Williams and the club doctors to decide how he can treat a sports hernia that he has developed this season. He could follow a conservative treatment plan, based on physiotherapy and tranquility, or undergo surgery at the end of the season. That said, there is a chance that he could play the Nations League with Spain at the beginning of June before he started treatment.
There is of course no certainty that Williams would end his recovery in Bilbao. The Basque wing player still has a release clause of € 60 million in his contract and will undoubtedly receive contacts from abroad about a possible relocation. Although Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich and Barcelona have dropped their interest in Williams for the time being, Arsenal remains enthusiastic about the 21-year-old.
