The Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) kept their general meeting on Monday, in what was an unusual flexible, even in comparison with recent additions, with little in the way of different opinion or disagreement. An interesting new rule was also adopted.
The meeting, led by the new President Rafael Louzan and his new board, including La Liga President Javier Tebas, approved a budget of € 372 million for the year without a voice against it, as reported by Cadena Cope. As part of this, Louzan has received a salary of € 379k per year, which is half of what predecessor Luis Rubiales earned, plus 2.8% in inflation.
Louzan, who was still uncertain about his position until last week because of a continuous appeal from the court, thanked the people around him for retaining their self -confidence and said: “There have been many people who have completely familiarized me and finally have it Provided us right away.
Moreover, the RFEF has also approved what is referred to as an 'anti-Qique Law'. The new regulation prohibits every type of commercial relationship between the RFEF and active sports professionals for international competitions, reports Marca.
A few years after previous President Rubiales, a deal was agreed to bring the Spanish Supercup to Saudi Arabia. However, the deal was mediated by Sports Entertainment brand Kosmos, which is owned by Gerard Pique, who then played for Barcelona and recently retired from the Spanish international service.
The friendly relationship between Pique and 'Rubi' became clear after a series of messages had leaked between the two, which led to an investigation into the deal. An investigation is currently trying to determine whether their relationship led to a bribe, in which Rubiales was investigated for various other deals while he was in charge of the RFEF. He is currently also right, accused of sexual violence and coercion after his non-consensual kiss by Jenni Hermoso.
