RASMUS HOJLUND and Amad Diallo were involved in a furious war of words at the end of Manchester United's win over Viktoria Plzen last night.
The Red Devils came from behind to beat their Czech opponents 2-1 thanks to super sub Hojlund's double in the second half.
The Dane, 21, was United's match winner but looked furious after the final whistle.
While shaking hands with opponents, Hojlund was confronted by Diallo.
The striker seemed uninterested in what his teammate had to say, with other United players quickly intervening.
Hojlund's anger seemed to stem from an incident during stoppage time.
In the 93rd minute, Diallo had raced away down the right flank.
It looked like he could direct the ball to Hojlund for what could have been the striker's hat-trick.
Instead, the Ivorian went himself, much to the frustration of his teammate.
Just 45 seconds later, Hojlund appeared to return the favor and not pass to Diallo, with the winger perhaps having ended up on target.
After the match, boss Ruben Amorim was unconcerned about the incident and in fact praised his players' desire.
He said: “It's something positive, something healthy, perfect. Right now we need to feel something. If we have to fight with each other, it's like a family, for me it's a very, very good sign.
“If you don't care, you don't do anything, if you do care, you fight with your brother, with your father, with your mother.
“It's normal, so I'll leave it to the players and captain to calm things down.
“If it gets too much, I go to the locker room. But it's their space, they have to talk, fight – it's very important.
“I'm happy that we win the match and still fight with each other, that's very good.
“When you win and fight with your teammate because you want to score one more. It's a very good day for us.”
Hojlund has now scored five goals under Amorim, having also scored a double against Bodo/Glimt and a Prem try against Nottingham Forest.
Asked about life under his new manager after the match, Hojlund said: “It's still early. I know it sounds strange, but we don't get enough time on the training pitch, so we have to train during the games. But it gets better. and better.”
The Red Devils are back in action on Sunday when they make the short trip to the Etihad to take on Manchester City.
