Sporting Kansas City v LA Galaxy: Joveljic desperate for victory against struggling former side

Dejan Joveljic is desperately looking for the victory against La Galaxy while Sporting Kansas City is preparing to organize the former side of the striker in MLS.

Serbia Vooruit Joveljic scored the winner last year when the Galaxy won the MLS Cup with a 2-1 win over the New York Red Bulls.

However, the couple separated in the aftermath of the sixth league title of the Galaxy, however, in which Joveljic moved to become a member of Kansas City.

“Finally, everything paid off: it was a great journey, and we finally won it,” said Joveljic about the success of last season and spoke with the official website of the competition.

“To be honest, we had a great team last season, we did some great things; we didn't lose any game at home, which is a great achievement.

“Then I felt that I need something more.”

Both parties have struggled for form since the glory of the Galaxy's 2024, with the couple as the bottom two teams in the Western Conference.

Kansas City is second soil after their 2-1 defeat at FC Cincinnati, while the side of Greg Vanney Die has only three points to their name, it is winloos entire season after their 4-2 defeat against Portland Timbers Last Time Out.

Joveljic will not be in the mood to do his old side a favor in Mercy Park, although he says he would keep his parties filled in if he succeeded in scoring in it.

“I just want to win,” he said. “Yes, I play against my friends, against my brothers, against the coach who brought me there, and all the guys there. It will be special, but I have nothing more to win.

“I want to prove myself again, and it will be interesting – and hopefully it will be a great game.

“If I score, there is no chance that I will do something crazy. Even when I four, everyone knows how much I love LA and coach Greg [Vanney] And all the boys – so that's not important. “

Match forecast – La Galaxy Win

The Galaxy may have passed a sad campaign so far, but the OPTA Supercomputer waved to a victory from a road in 10,000 pre-match simulations.

The visitors indeed won both meetings with Kansas City last season after winning only two of the previous 16 meetings that go back to October 2015 (D7 L7).

The last three-match winning streak of the Galaxy about Kansas City came in 2005-06, although they have their chances of replicating that here.

The defeat of Sporting against Cincinnati marked their 14th loss in the last 17 games in all games that go back to mid -September (W2 D1).

They have also allowed several goals in 14 of those 17 games, including the last three in a row, but the shape of the Galaxy means that this will in no way be a routine victory.

Vanney's side is one of the five teams in the post-shootout era that without giving a profit in their first 10 ml matches of a season.

At any time in a season in club history, they have only one longer Winless Run, a streak of 12 games in June-September 2008, a achievement that they will desperately avoid this year.

Drawing – 25.3%

La Galaxy Win – 43.2%
