Spurs fans slam Postecoglou for ‘no tactical adjustments or patterns of play’

Tottenham fans have taken to social media after their side found themselves on the wrong end of a nine-goal thriller at home to Liverpool.

Ange Postecoglou's team lost 6-3 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and are now in a paltry eleventh place in the Premier League, eight points less than the top four.

Braces from Luis Diaz and Mohamed Salah, along with goals from Alexis MacAllister and Dominik Szoboszlai, made up a total of six goals for Liverpool.

Meanwhile, James Maddison, Dejan Kulusevski and Dominic Solanke scored for Spurs in the goal-fest.

One supporter branded Postecoglou 'the worst manager this club has ever employed' while speaking on X.

Another wrote: 'No threat, no tactical adjustments, no playing patterns, just a lot of head shaking from Mr Postecoglou. From deep against an elite manager who has only been at Liverpool for a few months.'

A third said: 'Was prepared for defeat today but not a complete farce. Enough nonsense, Postecoglou has to go. “If anyone thinks that something is being 'built' here, or that this is the painful phase of some 'project', he is completely deluded.”

Despite the outrage on social media, Postecoglou's name was still chanted around the stadium during the match.

Spurs have won just two of their last eight games in all competitions, but many match supporters directed their pre-match outrage at chairman Daniel Levy.

Before kick-off, fans were able to protest outside the ground about their ownership of the ENIC Group.
