St. Louis City will be confronted on Roman Burki Burki when they are confronted opposite the Seattle Sounders on Saturday, with Cedric Teuchert describing the former Borussia Dortmund -Man -man as the best goalkeeper in MLS.

The Olof Mellberg team is sixth in the Western Conference classification with five points from three games, after he had not admitted a goal in MLS under the Swede.

After starting the season with back-to-back aimless treks, they earned a striking 3-0 win over the defensive MLS Cup champions, De La Galaxy, Last Time Out.

Experienced Shot-Stopper Burki made eight Saves in that match, so that Teuchert-Die had a goal and an assist-toe brought to praise his teammate.

“He is very important to us. He has made three or four really good saves to keep us in that competition and that is why he is the best keeper in the competition,” Teuchert said about Burki.

“If we are good at the defense, we will always score goals because we have big players in the attack. I think when we keep clean sheets, we win a lot of games.”

In the meantime, Mellberg hopes that St. Louis will continue their attacking revival and says: “I think the first two games have built up trust.

“Thanks to a good individual defense and especially for Roman, we could still get a clean slate.

“One-on-one, two-to-one, two-to-two scenarios, I was very satisfied with the way we looked in shape. We added a little more quality, especially in the third phase, with a number of great finishes.”

However, the backline of St. Louis will have to be on their guard next time, with Seattle who won their first victory of 2025 in striking fashion last week.

They brought Los Angeles FC 5-2 to Lumen Field, with five different players on goal, while they moved at a maximum of four points of their opening of three games.
