Stephen Thompson issued a statement after his controversial defeat at UFC Nashville.
'Wonderboy' Kwadraat against the emerging Welterweight Ster Gabriel Bonfim in the Co-Main event on Saturday evening.
The 42-year-old MMA legend suffered a nasty cut on his tibia after checking a staircase in round two.
After 15 minutes of action, Stephen Thompson seemed to have done enough to win the victory, but he finally ran a controversial defeat, while two of the three cageside jury members scored the fight 29-28 for Bonfim.

Stephen Thompson responds to the loss of UFC Nashville
A few hours after his last fight, Thompson went to social media to talk to his fans.
The former two-time Welterweight Title Challenger used crutches during his Instagram speech.
“First and foremost I want to thank all my fans for coming out,” said Thompson.
“Your love and support was great tonight. I really appreciate it. I am always grateful for the chance to perform for you.
“I have to come back, shit my shining and perhaps a little more shin protection.”
'Wonderboy' used the caption to expand his message, he wrote: 'Nashville, you are great!
“For my fans, I love you all !! Thank you for your love and support always. Pops, @raythompson, thank you that you are always in my corner, love you! @Westinwilson, @trainbjj, @Reynolds_power32 & everyone on @teampitchBlack & @upstate_karate thanks me great.

Stephen Thompson focuses on UFC Record
Thompson is the oldest hunter who is currently on the Roster, but he has not shown an interest in retiring.
In fact, he recently suggested that his MMA career can continue for at least five years.
Stephen Thompson focuses on Randy Couture's record as the oldest UFC hunter, after looking at 'The Natural' who competes in the Octagon until he was 47 years old.
“It would be cool to beat Randy Couture's record,” he admitted to UFC Nashville.
“It would be cool, but I still have two fights about, man, and we will see them through, they will honor, and we will go outside and win these next two fights in a great way and see if we will continue.
“It depends on what the UFC wants to do. God forbidding that if this is not the case, I have other routes that I can take.”
