The newest Jon Jones vs. Tom Aspinall Fight update furious UFC fans.
UFC CEO Dana White recently guaranteed the heavyweight title Unification Bout between Jon Jones and Tom Aspinall will flourish later this year. But the fans may have to be patient in the meantime after reports on the latest update have led to negotiations.
MMA journalist Ariel Helwani reported earlier this week that Jones asked six months to prepare for the Aspinall fight. After initially rejecting the Fattle Aspinall, Jones warmed up for the idea after beating Stipe Miocic on UFC 309 in November, with Aspinall Sitting Cageside.
Since UFC 309, Jones, Aspinall and their teams are in conversation with the UFC buyer to make the fight happen. It has been a kind of 'cat and mouse' game, because Aspinall has become more and more frustrated by the lack of movement of Jones' silk.

UFC fans are ballistic about the latest Jon Jones vs. Tom Aspinall Fight Update
After reports on Jones's alleged camp request, the camp request of six months was distributed online, the UFC fan base was not well received.
Fight -fans had a field day on social media with the latest Jones vs. Aspinall update.
“It is ridiculous, Jon was for what? 3 whole years to climb to the HW Div,” wrote a fan on X. “The only thing he did was train, now he needs 6 months on top of the 4 that he has already had? Bro has to fight or give up when he really wants to fight Tom with the gate.”
“The irony is the old version of Jon Jones would avoid the young version of Jon Jones as the plague. How often does he go from a legitimate competition? Khabib is criticized for doubtful opponents, but he did not go to apologize to avoid fighting,” said another fan.
“What Conor [McGregor] held [Michael] Chandler, Jon Jones does Tom Aspinall. “
“Just leave the belt it is.”
“Make Aspinall heavyweight champion.”
“It is as if he expected that Alex Pereira would win + did not feel the need to train hard for that.”
“It's ridiculous. Jon should fight by the summer, and if he refuses, he must be stripped.”
“6 months? That is ridiculous. Most hunters have the mentality where they would fight on the spot. Pereira for example. Jones is talking about a 10 -month break? He seems to have lost his warrior mentality.”
“I think it's great to wait another 6 months as long as we actually get that fight.”
Aspinall earned the interim-heavyweight title by eliminating Sergei Pavlovich on UFC 295. After Jones withdrew from his UFC 295 booking with Miocic, the UFC booked an interim title competition with a short resistance to save the map.
Aspinall made a rare interim title defense against Curtis Blaydes on UFC 304 last July, where Blaydes was dismantled by the first round of TKO. He remains unbeaten in his UFC official period.
Jon Jones's biggest rival rejected 'six months' story
Jones's two-time UFC rival Daniel Cormier, on the other hand, spotted the idea that Jones wanted six months to prepare for Aspinall, suggesting that the heavyweight champion uses the request as negotiating tactics. Jones and Cormier perhaps had the most heated rivalry in the history of UFC, so that the statement of Cormier was mandatory.
Aspinall's father recently called on Jones to leave his heavyweight belt while the UFC Brass is getting closer to it possible to strip him from the title. White has previously suggested stripping Jones if the Aspinall negotiations do not claim to their liking.
Before he was confronted with Miocic on UFC 309, Jones only fought once every three years and defeated Ciryl Gane for the then vacant heavyweight belt on UFC 285. He left the UFC-light heavyweight title after hitting Dominick Reyes on UFC 247.
