Strasbourg to sign Manchester City Academy prospect Tyrese Noubissie

Strasbourg is about to sign the prospect of Manchester City Academy Tyrese Noubissie (16), according to L'Equipe. The 16-year-old French midfielder will sign his first professional contract with Liam Rosenior's Alsatians, even though the citys offer him a long-term contract. City signed Noubissie, then 14, from Leicester Academy in a relocation of € 1.2 million two years ago.

The Ligue 1 side has stolen a march on a handful of European clubs that are interested in Noubissie. L'Equipe understands that Manchester United, AFC Ajax and Bayer Leverkusen have recently approached the France U16 International. Noubissie is a versatile midfielder who, in particular, supplied the U16 side of France in the recent Montaigu tournament.

Noubissie's signing is reportedly part of Blueco's strategy to give playing time to players with high potential for them to flourish in an environment that is as competitive as Ligue 1.
