Stunning new footage emerges of Barcelona’s £1.25bn Nou Camp renovation project

Incredible images of the day and night work that is placed in the £ 1.25 billion renovation of the Nou camp has shown that the project seems to be far from completion.

The Catalan giants started working on their world -famous stadium to increase its capacity to 105,000, after winning LaLiga in June 2023.

The Estadi Olimpic Lluis Company is the Barclona house once, with the original date for the return of the club to the Nou Camp for 125-year anniversary on November 29, 2024.

However, the club has constantly pushed their return home due to a slow progression on the construction, and the date of the reopening of the stadium remains unknown.

Previous reports suggested that the move could be pushed back to October – the hope of a return for the El Clasico on 11 May – and an impressive timelapse of late construction work, only the fear has fueled that the 67 -year -old stadium is a big distance from ready.

In addition, Barcelona has signed an agreement to stay in the 54,367 capacity Olympic Stadium until two days after their last LaLala match of the season against Villarreal, according to Mundo Deportivo.

The deal, although apparently held by the club under wraps, also indicates that the expensive renovation of the well -camp is not closer to the conclusion.

It also offers an element of relief after there were concerns about where Barcelona would play their last two games of the campaign because the Rolling Stones were planned to play a concert in the Estadi Olimpic Lluis Company on the Day of El Clasico.

Fortunatley for the Blaugrana, the concert has since been canceled and apparently the club has extended their stay in their temporary home.

When the renovations of the Spotify Camp finally come to an end, this will be the largest sports location in the whole of Europe.

Two incredible time laps from both the inside and the outside of the ground in the current state have shown how much work is going to get the project.

Builders can go through the night with chairs that are finally placed in Placacross de Tribunes.

Nevertheless, while the inside of the soil starts to shape, the outside remains only a partially finished skeleton with cranes constant at work to add new pieces to the stadium.

Reports suggest that the turf is planned to be laid in April as the renovations continue, but the installation of the roof – set to be the largest in Europe – seems far away in the distant future.

The constant delay offers a further hit to the wallet of the Catalan giants, who have been in Dire Financial Straits for a number of years. The expensive renovation of the Nou -Kamp will be able to rake the club in millions.

The income in the Olympic Stadium is considerably lower than what they will enjoy when the renovations are completed.

Once completed, the stadium is said to use green energy sources through 18,000 m2 of solar panels, producing its own energy and generating zero CO2 emissions.

Despite the distractions from the stadium, Hansi Flick's handled well during their enforced exile and currently top of the LaLala classification and they are due to the quarterfinals of the Champions League.
