The 26-year-old is known that he leads coach Regis Le Bris, where the couple collaborated at the French club Lorient and now the Black Cats have arrived to take him from the Serie A to the Premier League.
This according to journalist Fabrizio Romano, who reports that the deal was agreed as fans eagerly waiting for him to put pen on paper.
“Armand Laurienté to Sunderland, here we go! Deal agreed with Sassuolo for French wing player.
“Understand #SAFC pays € 20 million fixed reimbursement, no add-ons. Personal conditions have also been agreed.
“New winger for Sunderland, as planned.”
The French striker scored 18 goals last season when they went back to the Top flight series B title and promotion. Laurienté, a versatile attacker, is comfortable on both the left wing or plays through the middle and a central striker that will be useful for Sunderland if they fight against promotion.
Sunderland currently has Wilson Isisdor and Eliezer Mayenda as their two rush -hour options, but neither has played at the highest level. Sassuolo bought him from Lorient in 2022 for € 10.1 million plus bonuses and stand to make a profit on the winger who hopes to have an impact on the top division of England.
