Jared Cannonier attracted rave reviews for his Come-From-Behind victory over UFC Vegas 102.
UFC Middenweight Competent Jared Cannonier proved that age is only a number, because he is overwhelming an early barrage to finish Gregory Rodrigues at UFC Vegas 102. The 40-year-old Cannonier showed elitepoing and strength to trust Rodrigues in round 4.
Rodrigues dropped Cannonier twice in the first round and appeared a devastating loss on the eve of the handing over of Cannonier. But despite the fact that he was on heavy damage at an early age, Cannonier thought a rhythm in round 2, he ran the heavier strikes and opened a nasty cut on the face of Rodrigues.

Cannonier's Fighting colleagues had a lot to say about his main event victory at UFC Vegas 102.

Cannonier bounced back from successive losses to Caio Borralho and Nassourdine Imavov in 2024. He was about to earn a new middleweight title shot for the Skid, in which he defeated Marvin Vettori and Sean Strickland in back-to-back-outings.

After completing Rodrigues, Cannonier is back in the middleweight title mix and will probably get a top name for his next fight. Potential rematches with Israel Adesanya and Robert Whittaker are on the table after both former title holders have lost their most recent fights.
A rematch with strickland is also possible logical for the next booking of Cannonier. Strickland lost earlier this month to UFC Middleweight Champion Dric Du Plessis on UFC 312.
Cannonier, a former light heavyweight and heavyweight competitor, is still one of the most dangerous middle weights in the world entering his 40s. After UFC Vegas 102, the age of Cannonier should not be a big factor in his upcoming fight.
