Super-rich Monaco ‘weighing up loan swoop for Man United outcast Marcus Rashford

Mega-wealthy Monaco are considering a loan for Marcus Rashford despite him still keen to play for Manchester United.

As reported by Mail Sport, the striker is fit and available for selection and holds no grudge against Ruben Amorim despite being dropped.

His future is still up in the air, but talks over a temporary move continue, with Borussia Dortmund, Barcelona and Juventus among those interested.

Rashford has not played for United in nine games after being dropped for his performance in training in the Manchester derby last month.

Although he is not actively pushing to leave Old Trafford this month, an exit is still expected and The Sun claims Ligue 1 side Monaco have entered the race.

The wealthy club are said to be considering an approach and it would be crucial to pay most, if not all, of Rashford's £315,000 weekly wages.

United's finances remain in a dire state and a possible departure could allow them to spend money to strengthen Amorim's squad before the deadline.

Rashford has so far rejected interest from Saudi Arabia, Mail Sport reports, while AC Milan's pursuit appears to have cooled in recent days.

Dortmund would likely need United to pay a large portion of the 27-year-old's salary and Barcelona currently look like a godsend in light of their own financial situation.

Last month, Rashford declared he was 'ready for a new challenge' away from his boyhood side, and United are open to acceptable offers.

However, it is also understood that he has been undertaking extra training to stay fit and will be available for selection against Rangers this week.

Rashford was training at Carrington on Sunday as his teammates prepared for the clash with Brighton, using a private fitness coach.

Sources say he is ready to give 100 percent to the team.

But Amorim stood by his decision to leave Rashford out of this weekend's 3-1 home defeat and refused to blame the forward for his side's dismal run of results.

“Guys, like you said it's his choice,” Amorim said. 'In the last games we lost, Rashford wasn't there. So I don't want to blame this moment on Rashford.

'Rashford is not here because he is not playing. Whatever happens, I'm not going to put in a player who I don't think is the best for the team.”
