Supercomputer predicts winner of UEL final showdown between Spurs and MU

Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur had enormously overwhelming domestic campaigns in 2024-25, with the two parties that are in the Premier League table respectively in the 16th and 17th place.

Both Ruben Amorim and Ange Postecoglou, however, have a chance of redemption in the Europa League, where their two teams will meet to fight for a most important place in the Champions League of next season.

With only one of the Red Devils or the LilyWhites who can get a return to Elite European competition, the bet will be even higher than the showpiece event in Bilbao on Wednesday evening.

Prior to the game, a supercomputer predicted which direction will be at the top.

The winner was generated by simulating the entire competition 1000 times.

For each simulation, the code was recorded where each team ended in the table and their likelihood to win the trophy after every phase.

The results were then converted into percentages, which shows that the probability of each team ended in every position in the competition.

For the Europa League Final Pronze at San Mames, Aceodds supported Tottenham to win 3-2 and to lift a trophy for the first time since 2008.

Postecoglou has had to deal with a number of injury problems prior to the blockbuster meeting.

Dejan Kulusevski was forced in the first half of their match against Crystal Palace on 11 May, while Son-Heung minus has been absent with an ankle problem in recent weeks.

They will also be without Radu Dragusin, who tore his ACL in February and has been an absent in the long term for some time.

In the meantime, James Maddison and Lucas Bergvall are two of Spurs' midfield weapons that will miss the rest of the season.

United has to contend with similar fitness problems with regard to the availability of their own players.

Leny Yoro crashed against the recent loss of United against West Ham in Old Trafford, where the center-back had to be replaced by Harry Maguire.

The French football player was not involved in the open training session on Wednesday morning and missed the Red Devils trip to Stamford Bridge.

However, Ruben Amorim is optimistic that it is not a serious injury after the scorching Premier League form has continued from his side.

“He had that problem at the start of the season. We hope it is not that serious. I don't want to say too much, but maybe it's not a problem, “the United Baas told Sky Sports.
