Sweden boss warns Liverpool over what to expect if they complete Alexander Isak transfer

Liverpool weighs a second bid for banning Newcastle -star Alexander Isak, who has been called to the Sweden team prior to their two world cup qualification matches that take place after the Deadline Day of the Transfer

Sweden manager Jon Dahl Tomasson admits that there is no chance that Alexander Isak will be ready to play 90 minutes – despite the fact that he has called the Liverpool – target white for international service. Isak, 25, has not played a competitive game since May, after he had missed the entire Newcastle campaign in the midst of his transfer impasse.

The striker has repeatedly told Newcastle Chiefs that he wants to leave the club and become a member of Liverpool, whose opening bid worth £ 110 million was rejected earlier this month. The summer transfer window closes on Monday at 7 p.m.

Newcastle is not planning to sell Isak and Baas Eddie Howe hopes that he can be re -integrated into the Magpies team. The 25-year-old has only trained most of the summer and lacks matchfitness.

However, Tomasson still recorded Isak in his 23-man team for the two upcoming World Cup qualifications from Sweden. The Scandinavians take on Slovenia (September 5) and Kosovo (8 September).

On Thursday, Tomasson spoke about the situation of Isak at a press conference and Liverpool warned that Isak will be rusty if he signs for the Premier League champions. “Can he play 90 minutes? Of course not. Not at all,” the Sweden manager told reporters.

“Alex is a very professional player, a strong character, and he has worked hard. He is a game changer,” Tomasson added. “I have spoken to him several times; he is strong mentally. What we have said will of course remain between us.

He also said about the Saga: “It is very difficult to have a clear opinion about the situation. We do not know what happened in the club. We have to be very careful with drawing hasty conclusions when we don't have the whole picture. He is smart enough, he is smarter than I think.”

Howe appealed to the situation of Isak after Newcastle lost 3-2 at home on Monday evening 3-2 to Liverpool. “I have no idea where that (Isak) is on this second,” the Magpies gave up.

“The ideal from the side of Newcastle is that we want clarity, we want to go further. We want the story to change. We are now at the start of the season and we have to get results and try to concentrate on what we can check. We have given two really good versions and only took one point. That is difficult for us to take.

“The quality of Alex would have made a difference in the two competitions, that cannot be denied. But that said that the team was functioning well and the performance did not happen without each part of the team functioning well.”
