Osasuna dealt crushing blow following injury to Bayern Munich loanee
Bryan Zaragoza had not only gotten his career back on track at Osasuna, the train was picking up steam at El Sadar. Back in the Spanish squad, and one of the most dangerous players in La Liga, Zaragoza will be sidelined for several months due to injury.
During the 1–1 draw against Sevilla, Zaragoza was withdrawn before the end of the match and suffered a broken fifth metatarsal. The exact time he will be out is yet to be clarified, but Diario AS say this will mean at least a few months out of action.
Zaragoza has been a standout for Osasuna this season and was loaned from Bayern Munich after a difficult six months in Bavaria. So far this season he had scored five goals for his teammates, scoring against Barcelona in their 4-2 win to finish joint fourth for assists in La Liga. His replacement Jose Arnaiz also suffered a muscle problem shortly afterwards, but the diagnosis has yet to be made public.
