Netherlands U21 1-1 England U21: Jobe Bellingham extends the run to 10 unbeaten
Jude Bellingham came to town to watch England Under-21s, led by his younger brother Jobe, hold an impressive Dutch side to a 1-1 draw, leaving them unbeaten for ten games.
Fresh from his man of the match performance at Wembley against Ireland the night before, Real Madrid superstar Bellingham joined mum Denise and dad Mark Jobe on his second appearance in the '21s.
Here in the picturesque city of Almere – and in the country's smallest professional stadium – Bellingham watched under a blanket in freezing conditions as England held on against a pacey Dutch side thanks to Dane Scarlett's early header.
Jordan Henderson, who has 81 England caps, was also here as England showed the future is bright in what was the final match before Lee Carsley returned from his senior spell to take charge of the team.
Against the Dutch, who were led in attack by Jude Bellingham's best friend, Noah Ohio, it was Lewis Miley, who made his debut at the level in this camp, and Bellingham who really shone.
The two rising stars of North East football had England ticking in the early stages and crisp play in midfield led to the ball finding Samuel Iling Junior wide left in the fifth minute, with his cross hitting Scarlett's head perfectly.
The Dutch had substitute Thom van Bergen to thank for a late equalizer from close range, which was well deserved after 21 shots on target.
