Keane tells fan ‘I’ll wait for you in the car park’ after furious confrontation
ROY KEANE told an Ipswich fan: “I'll wait for you in the car park” in a furious confrontation after Ruben Amorim's first match against Manchester United.
The incident happened at Portman Road after Sunday's 1-1 draw between the Red Devils and Tractor Boys.
The match marked Amorim's England debut after replacing Erik ten Hag.
But despite taking an early lead through Marcus Rashford, United failed to secure victory after being set back by Omari Hutchinson's wonder strike.
And with both teams sharing the points, things heated up at full-time between pundit Keane, 53, and a home supporter.
The Irish United legend was manager of Ipswich for two years between 2009 and 2011.
He won just 28 of his 81 games and was sacked midway through the 2010/11 season, with Ipswich in 21st place in the Championship.
Video showed Keane leaving his Sky Sports desk before walking to the touchline where a fan was waiting.
Keane could be seen leaning over and talking heatedly to the man as he gestured with his hand.
The fan looked equally animated as Keane continued to flick his tongue, with the pundit heard on camera saying: “I'll be waiting for you in the car park.”
At the same time, other Ipswich supporters surged forward to confront their former boss.
And you heard someone shout: “F*** you Keane.”
Keane's incident with the Ipswich fan came months after an Arsenal supporter was found guilty of headbutting.
Scott Law was convicted of assaulting Keane during a match in September 2023.
A judge ruled he headbutted the pundit and pushed him through the doors of Arsenal's Emirates Stadium for cheering on a United goal.
SunSport exclusively revealed Keane was “shocked” when pundit friend Micah Richards pinned Law against a wall during the clash.
The married father-of-two, who claimed he acted in self-defence, was given a 12-month community order and a three-year competition ban.
Law has appealed his conviction and sentence, but a date has yet to be set.
Afterwards, Keane admitted that he was starting to tire of life as a pundit.
He said: “I will struggle to do this for the next ten months. I love football, but I love the hassle of matches, going to matches and the fuss of fans.
“A few months ago I was in court while someone headbutted me. Do you think I enjoy that side of it? Absolutely not.”
Earlier this month, Keane also revealed his future plans to move abroad as he quit his job at Sky Sports.
Keane told The Overlap: “I think I'm going to move abroad in the next few years… to release it there.
'You know what, Switzerland maybe? Switzerland is beautiful.”
