Man Utd given Alphonso Davies transfer hope as agent responds to reports

Alphonso Davies' agent Nedal Huoseh has denied claims that the Canadian international has agreed a deal with Real Madrid.

Real Madrid are not the only club linked with the 24-year-old, who joined Bayern from Vancouver Whitecaps in 2018. So far, however, Davies has been reluctant to make a public decision about his future.

The left back's contract with Bayern expires at the end of the season, leaving him free to talk to potential candidates in January. However, he isn't the only top talent linked with a move to the Bernabeu next summer, with Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold finding himself in a similar contract situation.

Manchester United have also been mentioned as a potential next club for Davies, who many believe would fit into Ruben Amorim's 3-4-3 formation. While no definitive progress has been made on that front, Huoseh's latest claims will make enjoyable reading for United fans.

“Although the player has many options, we have not reached an agreement with any club,” Huoseh said, as reported by Mundo Deportivo (via Football Espana). “Any information suggesting otherwise is incorrect.”

Reports in Spain had suggested that Davies had rejected alternative options in favor of a move to Madrid, but Huoseh pushed back against those suggestions. “A new contract with Bayern could also be an option,” he added.

Davies was scheduled to play for Canada during the November international break but withdrew from the squad as a precaution due to concerns about fatigue. However, Jesse Marsch's side still defeated Suriname 1-0 in the first leg of the CONCACAF Nations League quarter-final, with the second leg taking place on Tuesday evening local time.

In October, Davies was asked about his future in an ESPN interview. “From now on, my full focus is on staying healthy and playing the game with the club I am at now,” he said. “I'm not focused on what's going to happen in the future.

“I'm just focusing on staying healthy and helping my team win. My team makes me feel valued. The whole Bayern community makes me feel valued. I see that every day.”

Davies has made 15 appearances in all competitions for Bayern this season, playing 90 minutes in all four Champions League games and the last seven Bundesliga games. Vincent Kompany's side are five points clear at the top of the domestic league at the international break, although they have just six points from four games in Europe despite scoring nine goals past Dinamo Zagreb in their opener.
