Erik ten Hag spotted back in Manchester weeks as he and wife head out for dinner
ERIK TEN HAG has been back in Manchester for more than three weeks after being fired by Manchester United.
The 54-year-old Dutchman was sacked by the Red Devils chiefs at the end of October after their worst ever start to a Premier League season.
It ended his mixed two-year spell at Old Trafford, which included Carabao Cup and FA Cup victories, as well as a disappointing eighth-place finish in the Premier League last season.
He immediately flew back to the Netherlands after losing his job when he was replaced by Ruben Amorim.
Ten Hag was seen in his home country at a match between Heracles Almelo and NAC Breda.
But with Amorim set to take charge of his first game as Manchester United boss in Ipswich on Sunday, Ten Hag is back in town.
The ex-head coach of Ajax was spotted on Monday leaving Piccolino, a restaurant chain in Manchester.
He came out the front door with his wife Bianca and smiled for the cameras as he walked away.
Meanwhile, Ten Hag's successor Amorim took care of his first training earlier on Monday.
He spent time with a handful of first-team players while the rest were on international duty.
Takeaways from the session included Amorim already taking shape in a 3-4-3 formation, Antony being deployed as a wing-back and Kobbie Mainoo being at the heart of everything.
Ten Hag left Man Utd as the team languished in the bottom half of the Premier League.
Ruud van Nistelrooy was undefeated in his four games as interim boss prior to the international break.
But a win over Ipswich would still be just their third Premier League victory in eight games.
