Carlo Ancelotti provides update on Real Madrid transfer business
There has been a lot of speculation in recent weeks about Real Madrid's transfer activities in 2025. Los Blancos have not signed a new deal in six years during the winter window, but that streak seems likely to be broken due to the ongoing injury crisis.
For the time being, it remains unclear whether any business will be done in January, and within Real Madrid it has not yet been decided either way – according to head coach Carlo Ancelotti, who spoke about this during his pre-match press conference. Sunday drive to Leganes (via Diario AS).
“We are waiting for the match against Sevilla to analyze the market.”
That match against Sevilla is Real Madrid's last match before the winter break, and also before the transfer market opens again. Until then, Ancelotti has a severely limited squad to choose from due to the injury crisis, although he should soon welcome the likes of David Alaba and Aurelien Tchouameni.
