Real Mallorca 1-5 Barcelona: In-form Raphinha nets two as leaders run riot

Barcelona captain Raphinha scored twice as they won in LaLiga for the first time in a month, beating Real Mallorca 5-1 at the Estadi Son Moix.

Hansi Flick's league leaders – who are without a win in three league games – scored four times in a dominant second-half performance to extend their lead over Real Madrid to four points.

A comic mix between Martin Valjent and Johan Majica allowed Ferran Torres to give Barcelona a 12th minute lead, although the home side drew level when Vedat Muriqi finished off a lightning counter-attack on the stroke of half-time.

However, that equalizer only angered Barca and they pulled away after the break.

Raphinha restored the lead from the penalty spot in the 56th minute after the excellent Lamine Yamal was fouled, before the teenager produced a stunning cross in the 74th minute to score his captain's second goal.

Substitutes Frenkie de Jong and Pau Victor added to the goal-fest with late strikes from the penalty area to seal an easy win for the Blaugrana, who have played two more games than second-place Madrid.

Data debrief: Raphinha in double figures as Barca cruise

With Robert Lewandowski (15) and Raphinha (10), Barcelona are the only team to have two players in double figures for goals in one of Europe's top five leagues this season.

Things could hardly have been more comfortable for the Blaugrana, who scored a total of 4.93 expected goals (xG), the most of any team in a single match in LaLiga this season.
