PSG’s Ousmane Dembélé reveals retirement plan
Ousmane Dembélé (27) is having one of the best campaigns of his career. At Paris Saint-Germain, the former Borussia Dortmund winger has already scored 12 goals in just 13 games in all competitions, while with five goals he is only one goal fewer than last season.
A regular in the French line-up, Dembélé is in the prime of his career and his current performances reflect that. However, speaking on The Bridge podcast, the former Barcelona forward raised the idea of retirement, and as he revealed on the show, he has a very specific plan.
If he sticks to the plan outlined, Dembélé still has seven years left as a professional footballer. He has said he wants to retire from football at the age of 34 to pursue another passion: real estate. He has said that after his career in the real estate sector, he wants to invest in Africa and France.
Dembélé, whose contract with PSG runs until 2028, does not see himself staying in the game when he hangs up his football boots in 2031.
