Turkish legend advises Arda Guler to stick with Real Madrid
Arda Guler faces a battle to get back into the Real Madrid team before the end of 2024.
Güler is yet to come alive consistently in Madrid as he played just 12 games last season with injuries posing a problem for him. He is on that number for the current season, even though he has only started three times.
His lack of action has understandably seen his form dip and Turkey head coach Mustafa Denizli has admitted his concerns by labeling some of his recent performances for the national team as 'immature'.
Despite the excitement surrounding his arrival in Madrid, he still doesn't fit into Carlo Ancelotti's plans for the campaign, with the 19-year-old likely to leave on loan in January.
Guler is not expected to leave permanently despite new ties with Turkey, and former Turkish star Arda Turan has backed him to make a turnaround in the coming months.
“Arda Guler may not always get playing time at Real Madrid, but every touch he makes is like a diamond,” said Marca.
