Justin Gaethje claims Charles Oliveira hit him harder than anyone else

Justin Gaethje has stepped foot in the cage with a plethora of the best fighters in the world, but no one has aimed a tougher shot at him than Charles Oliveira.

The pair shared an incredible battle of attrition on May 8, 2022 at UFC 274, held at the Footprint Center in Phoenix, Arizona, USA.

In a huge fight, Gaethje landed a brutal uppercut, sending his rival crashing to the canvas.

However, in a testament to his fighting heart, the Brazilian rose to his feet and ultimately wore down his opponent, on his way to connecting with his own right hand to drop the American, before recording the submission.

The devastating blow landed like the hardest Gaethje has ever dealt.

During a UFC 300 Q&A, he said: “I think the best shot that landed on me was from Oliveira. The same shot 100 times, you don't see it once, and it's so much more effective.

“That was also the case that evening. He caught me off guard and surprised me, and it hurt.

Gaethje will always have a negative memory of Oliveira's punch in the face.

But interestingly enough, someone else feels exactly the same way about him.

A UFC icon insists no one has hit him with the force the American did. And bizarrely, taking those heavy hits was part of his plan.
