Tallison Teixeira breaks social media silence after shocking 35-second knockout loss at UFC Nashville

UFC Heavyweight Competent Tallison Teixeira shared his first public comments about a disappointing night in UFC Nashville.

UFC Knockout leader of all time Derrick Lewis added another to his resume with a brutal finish from Tallison Teixeira in UFC Nashville. But the fight did not end without a little controversy.

After Lewis seemed to take an eye in the fight, he caught Teixeira inside with a left hand who dropped the 6'7 ″ Brazilian. But Teixeira was able to make his way back to his feet, albeit while he made some large shots of Lewis.

Tallison Teixeira releases the first explanation since the KO loss of UFC Nashville Main Event Ko

Referee Jason Herzog stepped in to wave off the fight for only 35 seconds in round 1, despite the fact that Teixeira immediately protested against the interruption. UFC CEO Dana White was one of those who believe that the statement was made too fast, and that Teixeira should have fighted.

Despite the debate after the fight, Teixeira suffered the first defeat of his career after the highlight of the Dana White's Contender Series won his previous eight professional trips. Teixeira won his UFC debut earlier this year with 35-second knockout about Justin Tafa on UFC 312.

The 25-year-old Teixeira earned a UFC Main Event Slot in just his second promotional performance. After having suffered the jaws of the defeat for the first time in his career, Teixeira is working on a potentially triumphanty comeback.

In a recent message to X, Teixeira sent a message to his supporters after his first career loss in the headliner of the UFC Nashville.

“Hello everyone. It's not the result I wanted, but I come back stronger. I apologize that I disappoint you,” Teixeira posted.

“Xicao is coming back.”

Olá, Pessoal. Não é o resultadado que eu queria, mas voltarei mais forte. Peço Desculpas Por Decepcioná-Los. O xicão Voltará.

Derrick Lewis could get a big push to a title shot to face Tom Aspinall after UFC Nashville

In the meantime, Lewis could possibly get a heavyweight title shot for his next outing after UFC Nashville. The UFC Heavyweight Division, led by undisputed champion Tom Aspinall, urgently needs new contenders for the newly crowned title holder.

Lewis is one of the few top heavyweights that have not had to deal with their career. Van Aspinall is expected to return later this year for his first undisputed heavyweight title defense.

Former UFC Middleweight Champion Chris Weidman made a strong thing for Lewis to get the next heavyweight title shot after his victory at UFC Nashville. Weidman called Lewis with 'more name value' than other contenders such as Ciryl Gane and Alexander Volkov as an important reason to give him a big push.

Gane defeated Volkov through a controversial split decision on UFC 310 in December.
