Andy Peaks insists Tamworth have “earned the right to be here” as they prepare for their dream FA Cup third round tie against Premier League side Tottenham.
In one of the standout matches of the round, the National League side will take on Ange Postecoglou's men at the Lamb Ground.
The Peaks side, who occupy 16th place in the fifth tier, have already eliminated Huddersfield Town and local rivals Burton Albion to reach this stage.
They now look to become only the third non-league side to beat a Premier League opponent in this competition.
Luton Town achieved the feat when they stunned Norwich City in 2013, while Lincoln City defeated Sean Dyche's Burnley four years later.
“We have had a fantastic journey and we are all proud of that,” said Peaks. “And we've earned the right to be here.
“Three years ago the club wasn't in a great place, but there are smiles on faces in the city again, and I'm really proud of that, seeing all the press, TV and radio here.
“We all love football, you just have to enjoy it. And we worked so hard to get here, even against Robbie Savage's Macclesfield in the fourth qualifying round, against a full-time team. That was a very tough game.
'But we got through that, then the Huddersfield game live on TV, Tom Tonks' long throw and all that, and then the local derby in Burton.'
Speaking about Sunday's match, he added: “We probably know more about Tottenham than any other team in our own league because they are on the telly so much. I went to their house to watch two games. Spurs are so close to us been good as gold.
“Obviously we don't know which team they'll play on Sunday, but I don't think they'll come here to lose. And there's already been some great talk about Ange wanting to win a trophy this season.” “
