Tarkowski’s wife condemns ‘disgusting’ abuse after his tackle on Mac Allister

The wife of James Tarkowski has convicted 'Vile' abuse and wish her husband after his horror tail on Alexis Mac Allister in the Merseyside Derby.

The captain of Everton escaped a red card after planting his boot in the calf of the Liverpool midfielder after approval in the early stock exchanges of the heated fixture.

The 32-year-old received caution from referee Sam Barrott for the action, while Var Paul Tierney soon decided that it was not worth a red card, nor a second look via the pitchside monitor.

Minutes later, the Premier League published a statement that only contributed to the confusion. In it they seemed to defend the decision, despite the fact that Tarkowski had committed 'a reckless mistake'. PGMOL – The referee's administrative body for the English game – then admitted that the Englishman should have been rejected for the challenge.

After the last whistle, Tarkowski seemed to apologize to Mac Allister, but according to his wife Samantha this did not prevent commentators on social media 'disgusting' abuse in their own way.

“I didn't really say anything because we usually just laugh like away, but f *** it,” she wrote in a statement on Instagram. 'The level of abuse that my husband receives – wishing death on him, despicable comments about me, about us as a few, and about him as a person – is extremely disgusting.

'People forget that he is more than just a football player. He is a husband, a father, a brother, a friend and especially, the father of our two children.

'He goes outside and does his job and does it very much f ***** well, but he is subject to so much hatred. For those who behave as if he deliberately hurt someone – Ru seriously?!

'Football moves on speed and tackles are decisions in a second. No player goes outside to injure someone and do you think a player would feel good about it if he did?

'But the pure s *** messages, the threats? That is intentional. That's up to you. Football is a sport, but the way in which some so -called 'fans' behave is shameful.

“The abuse, the threats – it's not a passion, it's pathetic. We are real people, and this goes much further than football. '

The challenge had generated indignation at the time, with Jamie Carragher Incandescent in the Sky Sports Studio during the reporting of the broadcaster of the game, before he expressed his shock that the referee had not sent Tarkowski.

'In terms of referee. Barrott is in a brilliant position, “Carragher rumbled. “He has to see that,” it's a shocking tackle, we know it's a red card. If Tierney does not give up VAR, it is shocking. '

Former Everton attacker Duncan Ferguson agreed with Carragher and admitted that his former side should have been reduced to 10 men.

Ferguson said: 'There is no argument, straight red. He knows what he is doing. He came through him – that could have been a leg breaker.

“Maybe the referee … it's his first derby, he should have taken it to the monitor.”

Gary Neville expressed a similar belief about the challenge of Tarkowski about comments.

“That is a potential leg breaker,” Neville proclaimed. “I think he's good luck, Tarkowski. There will be people who will say it is a natural passage.

'Trust me as a defender that you don't have to follow and with such a power and it is high. Very happiness. '

In addition to his apology to Macallister, Tarkowski admitted that his challenge was 'not great'.

The defender, who scored a dramatic late equalizer when the parties met in Goodison Park in February, was the same as a Premier League record by turning the highest receiver of yellow cards in the division without seeing red (63).

“It's not a big challenge,” he told Optus Sport. “I spoke to him and I apologized because it's not a great tackle.

“When the ball fell between us, I thought he would just come and I expected a large old-fashioned 50-50-Tackle, but he just pulled out the tackle and while I went into it, I followed and caught him pretty high, so I apologized with him and he accepted it.

“Yes, not great of me.”

Liverpool eventually hit the derby with 1-0 winners and recovered their 12-point lead at the top of the Premier League while they came to a record-similar 10th top title title.

Everton is now 14 points free from the drop zone despite their first competition, the defeat since David Moyes returned to the club in January.
