Teddy Sherdingham discussed the possibility that Cristiano Ronaldo returned to Europe when his contract with Al-Nassr ends at the end of next season.
Ronaldo wrote a new contract with Saudi Pro League Club worth more than £ 167.9 million at the start of the year, which confirms his status as the best -paid football player in the world.
The Portuguese frontman will be 41 years old by the time his deal rose in June 2026. Last year he revealed that one day he would like to go into club ownership, but whether his gaming career goes beyond the next season is unknown.
Ronaldo has not expressed a strong wish to return to a top European club and seems to be satisfied with the sun under his career in Riyad.
Nevertheless, speculation has flown around that clubs can sign him for a short -term agreement, while he is still able to offer some goal well.
Sheringham was asked if he thinks Ronaldo would be open to Man City's member for this summer's club, in the light of Erling Haaland's injury, which is expected to keep him for the duration of the tournament.
Sheringham said to Casino apps: 'I mean, fans of Man United would not be happy. If the figures add, Ronaldo would probably take the chance. He can certainly score a goal, right? That, there is no denying.
'Yes, she [Man City] looked a bit lost without their center [Haaland in the Manchester derby]Non -values? They didn't have the same power to their team, but I don't know.
'Wow, I didn't even think about that, Ronaldo would certainly be enthusiastic about it [moving to Man City]. That would be funny.
“I bet that if you offered him the chance to go to Man City, he would bite your hand.”
Ronaldo once came close to City in August 2021, hours before he spoke with Sir Alex Ferguson and eventually agreed to start a second spell at United.
Ronaldo was asked in December 2024 during the Globe Soccer Awards if he would give a 'helping hand' in the winter transfer window. He replied, “You never know what will happen.”
Although in the end no deal came out, it seems that Ronaldo is not against going back to Europe. Whether the top teams of the continent share a mutual interest in such a movement is unclear.
