Tennis star and Real Madrid super-fan Carlos Alcaraz makes bold TAA prediction

Tennis-Superster and Real Madrid Carlos Alcaraz dropped his judgment on Trent Alexander-Arnold after his controversial move from Liverpool.

Alexander-Arnold chose to walk his contract in his boy's club before he came to Real this summer, where the Reds eventually received a fee of £ 10 million to be able to play the right back in the World Cup club.

The 26-year-old will make his Madrid debut on Wednesday evening when the men of Xabi Alonso are confronted with Saudi-Arabic outfit al-Hilal in Miami, and Alcaraz has supported the Englishman to become a star in his new club.

“It's great to have him in Real Madrid,” Alcaraz told BBC Sport prior to playing Queen's this week. “I'm pretty sure he will be the best (right in the world)!”

Alexander-Arnold developed into a star in Liverpool after he had come through the ranks, but has not convinced all his managers that he should be the first name on the team schedule.

He started none of the England matches in the newest international break, in which Thomas Tuchel preferred Curtis Jones and Kyle Walker in his favorite position on the right.

Nevertheless, Alcaraz is convinced that Alexander-Arnold will soon prove his doubters incorrectly as soon as he settles in Real's side.

Alexander-Arnold was unveiled last week as a Madrid player and gave a speech in fluent Spanish.

Some fans of Liverpool remained angry about the speech and claimed that it was proof that Alexander-Arnold had been planning Anfield to leave for a while, despite waiting until last month to announce his decision.

But Alcaraz was impressed and joked that he cannot wait to speak with Alexander-Arnold in the future in his mother tongue.

“If I meet him one day, I will talk to him in Spanish,” said Alcaraz. 'His Spanish is beautiful, pretty good.

“It surprised me when I heard it. It is not easy if you stand for a new club, new president, new teammates, new everyone.

'Speaking a different language and being able to do it that way, respect for him. But he is so serious! '

Alexander-Arnold is expected to start Wednesday's game against Al-Hilal, which will be his first club performance since leaving Liverpool.

He received a mixed reception in his last weeks on MerseSide after he had confirmed his departure, with his own fans who fascinated him when he came as a replacement against Arsenal last month.

Two weeks later he came back from the bank on the last day of the season and received a warmer, while he was also welcomed when he took the medal of his Premier League winner after the game.

His last farewell came the next day when Liverpool enjoyed an open-top bus parade, and the international in England broke into tears while he knew goodbye to supporters who had closed the streets.
