Hansi Flick says that the recovery of Marc-Andre ter Stegen is “on the right track” after the Barcelona keeper returned to the training after a knee injury.
Ter Stegen tore the patella tendon in his right knee during Barca's 5-1 win over Villarreal in September.
The Germany International underwent an operation, while Wojciech Szczesny retired the following month to depot between the sticks.
Ter Stegen, however, is approaching a return to full fitness and Flick is satisfied with the progress of his countryman.
“He started training, a first step,” he told reporters prior to the collision of the Blaugrana with Sevilla on Sunday. “He improved a lot. We are happy. Everything is on the right track.”
The third place Barca looks at a third straight Laara victory to maintain the pressure on leaders Real Madrid, which are clear four points before being confronted with Rivals Atletico Madrid on Saturday.
Flick expects a tough test against 12th place Sevilla in Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan, but is pleased to go there with more available players, such as Gavi, Dani Olmo and Inigo Martinez return from injury.
“Every game, you start all over again,” he added. “The atmosphere in the stadium is very nice. We have to play with our style, and that is what is important.
“Now we have the whole team play very well. In the last games they showed it and cause many opportunities. We have all the players who can play and,,, [on Sunday]We also go with fresh legs. “
