It seems that the Brazilian national team is again looking for a manager, only 18 months after naming Dorival Junior in the post, after a damn 4-1 defeat against Argentina on Tuesday. Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti is said to have become the best target for the Confederation of Brazilian football (CBF) for the second time.
After the defeat, it was reported in Brazil that CBF President Ednaldo Rodrigues would like to bring in the Italian, with Ronaldo Nazario claiming that he had helped having set up negotiations between the CBF and Ancelotti.
According to Uol Esporte, Brazil is busy rejecting Dorival and will hold a definitive meeting with the experienced coach before the case is official. In the meantime, Ancelotti's friend and journalist Alberto Cerruti has noticed a change in the attitude of the Real Madrid coach to take over the Brazilian team from a year ago. The couple had eaten in Madrid on Wednesday evening and Cerutti told Cadena Ser that he was more to it.
“It is a story that never ends. A year ago he told me he didn't want to go to Brazil,” Cerruti explained, while he also warned that Ancelotti's “dream” was to stay in the Santiago Bernabeu forever, because of his affection for the job and the city. “But beware, he doesn't exclude the idea. This is the new. The first option is Madrid, but if his relationship with Madrid unfortunately ends, he will not exclude the idea of going to Brazil.”
It should be noted that Ancelotti not only denied Ronaldo with negotiations between itself and Brazil in 2023, but also that the CBF had been in contact with him.
