Crystal Palace has asked about Sporting Lisbon's £ 40 million with a defender Ousmane Diomande and has had positive conversations about a new contract for striker Jean-Philippe Mateta.
Palace are confronted with competition for Diomande, 21, which would be seen as a replacement for Marc Guehi.
Meanwhile, Mateta, who has attracted the attention of Manchester United, Aston Villa and Marseille, has had positive discussions about the stay in Selhurst Park.
Palace anticipates offers from Newcastle and Chelsea for Guehi.
The magpies made an abundance of failed bids for the English international last summer, for whom Palace demanded £ 70 million.
Apart from Guehi, Chelsea would like to remain a number of defensive options, including Jorrel Hato from Ajax.
The highly rated center Back made his senior debut just 16 years old and became an undisputed starter for the Eredivisie side last season.
Now 19, Hato has been appointed as one of Ajax's vice-captains and was named Eredivisie Talent of the Year in 2024-25.
In the meantime, Napoli checks the situation of Trevoh Chalobah. The Center Back has been in Chelsea since the age of eight, but its place in Stamford Bridge has been under heavy speculation in the past year.
Chalobah came to Palace last August at a seasonal loan of a seasonal hose, but was recalled in January because of the defensive injury crisis of Enzo Maresca.
