The UFC organized its first event in the APEX facility on this day five years ago, and the map opened with a bang.
The UFC quickly resumed its schedule after the COVID-19 outbreak with three cards in the Vystar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville in mid-May.
A few weeks later, Octagon Action took place for the first time in the Apex facility of the promotion. The promotion still contains cards there even to this day, with the count of UFC Apex shows now at 113.
Countless fights have played there, and the very first to go down, saw a Bantam weight entering the history books.

Chris Gutierrez sent the legendary Frankie Edgar retired with brutal knee Ko
Gutierrez was unbeaten about his next four attacks before he received the biggest matchup of his career to date.
The 34-year-old was instructed to serve as the last opponent for the legendary former UFC Lightweight Champion Frankie Edgar.
'The answer' had his hope for a winning end of his career, ended quickly, with Gutierrez who spent Edgar on UFC 281 via a brutal knee just over two minutes after one.
In the years, Gutierrez has not been able to build on that controversial result, to win three out of five fights and not to strengthen a place in the ranking.
Recently 'El Guapo' made a successful return to featherweight against John Castaneda at the UFC Kansas City event, led by Ian Machado Garry vs Carlos Prates.
