Barcelona Target Bruno Guimaraes for the summer market
Barcelona has revived their interest in Bruno Guimarães while they want to secure a summer transfer. The Spanish club has kept a close eye on the Brazilian player for some time and continues to consider him an important target to strengthen midfield. Transfer windows from the past, however, are complicated by the challenge of managing the role of Frenkie de Jong in the club, who has made room for Guimarães that is difficult to find. These obstacles have also impeded a movement financially.
Despite these issues, however, Barcelona has taken a step anyway: in June 2024 they compiled an offer of € 80 million (about £ 67 million) for Guimarães. However, this offer remained its £ 100 million release clause, so that they could sign it without any negotiations. Looking ahead, Barcelona hopes that next summer will be the turning point.
With De Jong's contract that will expire in 2026, the club is optimistic that its potential departure will free up space and funds to strive for Guimarães more seriously. The first steps in this direction can come in the coming weeks, while Barcelona starts exploring the future of De Jong and conversations with both Newcastle and Guimarães starts.
Atletico Madrid Eyeing Wolves Striker Fabio Silva
Atletico Madrid has focused on Fabio Silva, who is currently on loan in Las Palmas from Wolves on a dry loan until the end of the season. The Spanish club noticed the Portuguese player after his strong performance against them on 3 November in the Metropolitano and has since kept a close eye on his progress. The striking versions of Silva in La Liga have strengthened Atletico's interest: his goals against Barcelona and Real Madrid confirmed his ability to be decisive at crucial moments.
Atletico is aware of the growing competition for the 22-year-old, has already started preparing the land for a summer movement. The club assesses the feasibility of negotiations and investigates the conditions of a possible transfer. For now, Silva remains aimed at helping Las Palmas to secure their La Liga status, with the aim of retaining its impressive form in the second half of the season.
However, a large summer decision is practically inevitable. In June he will return from Las Palmas to Wolves, but probably for a short time: with his contract runs until 2026, Atletico is preparing to move early, knowing that the performances of Silva are already attracting a lot of interest from other top European clubs.
PSG and Napoli discuss the Osimhen deal
Paris Saint-Germain and Napoli have not only negotiated Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, but also discussed Victor Osimhen as a potential summer goal for the French club. PSG has long admired the Nigerian striker and the coming transfer window could finally offer the right opportunity to take him to Paris. With the movement of Kvaratskhelia, which is already strengthening the relationship between the two clubs, conversations about Osimhen were of course followed.
For now, Osimhen remains fully focused on Galatasaray, determined to greatly end the season and help its current club to win the Turkish league. All transfer discussions will have to wait until the summer when he will evaluate his next step. The asking price of Napoli remains set at € 75 million, the value of his release clause for foreign clubs. As can be seen in the Kvaratskhelia deal, PSG could, however, benefit from a structured payment plan that is being distributed for several years, making the relocation financially viable and at the same time divends the competition from other top European clubs, including Juventus. In anticipation of the summer window, the basis for a potential transfer is already laid and Osimhen can be the next major signing for PSG.
Liverpool Scouting Angelo Stiller
Liverpool has identified Angelo Stiller as a potential midfield reinforcement for next season. The scouting team of the Reds has followed the Stuttgart -midfielder closely in recent weeks and he steadily climbing their list of summer goals. In the meantime, Stuttgart had completed a contract renewal for Stiller, which extended his validity until 2028 and the price tag has set up “objectively” to date, with a release clause of € 40 million.
The 22-year-old has attracted interest from various European clubs, with many people closely monitoring his situation. Liverpool remains attentive and is expected to keep track of developments, now that the winter transfer window is closed. As the summer approaches, Stiller's name is probably central to the transfer speculation: with his technical skills and tactical intelligence, he could be an ideal addition to the midfield of Liverpool, while Arne Slot asked for reinforcements in that role in the summer.
But be careful with the competition: as mentioned earlier, Barcelona wants to strengthen midfield and if they don't get Bruno Guimaraes, they can decide to choose Angelo. A path to keep an eye on.
De Bruyne who comes closer to MLS
The future of Kevin De Bruyne in Manchester City remains uncertain, but the chance of a summer departure is growing. While Saudi clubs continue to show strong interest, there is a growing concern in the SPL that the Belgian player instead promotes a switch to Major League Soccer. De Bruyne even announced Saudi teams that, as things are standing, his priority after leaving the city would be to play in the United States – a preference in accordance with the wishes of his family.
Under the potential destinations, San Diego FC seems to be leading the race: the new MLS franchise, set in debut in 2025, would like to make a statement and hopes to protect a pre-agreement before the inaugural match on 24 February against LA against LA against La galaxy. The first conversations have been positive, although negotiations are still underway.
However, the competition remains fierce: Inter Miami, after their successful acquisitions of Lionel Messi, Luis Suárez and Sergio Busquets, De Bruyne also wants to bring them to their ambitious project. In the meantime, Saudi sides Al Itihad and Al Nassr remain in the mix, willing to offer massive contracts, although they are currently considered back -up options.
