The keys to the case that will settle Barcelona’s registration of Olmo & Victor

Concern is growing in Barcelona that they can lose one of their most important players for the rest of the seaon. The registration case that is a statement about whether Dani Olmo or Pau Victor can continue to play for the rest of the season, has had to be won next Monday and La Liga has moved to encourage the High Court for Sport (CSD) to rule against Barcelona with new information.

According to MD, the ruling could fall as soon as possible on Thursday morning, where Barcelona claimed that they delivered all documents for the € 100 million sale of the lease for 475 VIP seats in the renovated Camp Nou on time to register Olmo and Victor for the deadline that was determined by La Liga and the Royal Football Foundation). Both players were not registered, but Barcelona caused an order to enable both players to remain registered while their case was heard with the CSD.

Moreover, there are important arguments that will influence their decision. Barcelona hopes that the decision not to register will not be allowed because it would infringe the right to work for Olmo and Victor, because they would not be able to find a new team for the rest of the season, unless they have broken their contracts with Barcelona for normal reason. The order was granted based on the fact that the career of Olmo and Victor can be unnecessarily damaged. It could also damage the Spanish national team in their Nations League campaign in June, because OLMO would also be excluded from international duty.

The new information, as facilitated by a La Liga statement, is that Barcelona did not have the space in their salary limit to still register Olmo and Victor. They note that the VIP seats of € 100 million that was registered in December is not part of their updated accounts in March, and because their auditors do not need to record this, that would leave the impact of the salary limit of the deal -impact invalid, and in turn to register Olmo and Victor the same. Marca says that Barcelona will not respond to La Liga's statement and will wait for the CSD statement instead.

Previous reports have stated that Barcelona already has a profession and an application for an order that is willing to go if the CSD rule against them rule. However, this was before the problem with their new Auditors Crowe, one that also stopped their planning for next season. Again, the management of the club finances of President Joan Laporta was closely examined.
