The second part of the summer transfer window has been reopened – and there is more things to do before it closes on 1 September.
Few managed to expect something from the special window that brought in before the World Cup World Cup – but it delivered 10 days of transfer drama and has now set the tone for what promises to be a fascinating summer.
Manchester City was the big spenders after they had done their business early by bringing in Tijjani Reijnders, Rayan Cherki, Rayan Ait Nouri and Marcus Bettinelli – to take their expenses to £ 116.2m.
Although three signing sessions from City were announced on the deadline day of the first window, it was Chelsea, the other Premier League team at the Club World Cup, which was again central when they chased potential late deals for Jamie Gittens and Mike Maignan.
Chelsea ended their pursuit of AC Milan goalkeeper Maignan and no longer had time to close a deal for Dortmund Forward Gittens.
Chelsea liked to wait because they don't want to pay too much for gittens and are planning to visit the deal further. Gittens, who wants to move to Chelsea, seemed frustrated when he left the Dortmund training field when the Deadline Day ended.
Dortmund was able to get an incoming deal about the line for the tournament when they signed Jowe Bellingham from Sunderland in a club record sale for the newly promoted Premier League club, who received a first £ 27.8 million for the 19-year-old.
Other deals were announced between Windows, with Mathys Tel a permanent relocation of £ 30 million to Spurs and Leeds completed that Lukas Nmecha from Wolfsburg signed for a first two -year deal.
First summer window in numbers
Sky Sports Data Editor Adam Smith:
Premier League clubs splash almost £ 500 million after just 10 days of the first summer window, which has already been spent close to half the amount throughout the entire summer window of 2021/22.
City was the most spending club like the Pep Guardiola side after a disappointing campaign, after he had spent £ 116.3 million so far.
On the other side of the scale, wolves are almost £ 100 million profit after the sale of star players Matheus Cunha and Rayan Ait Nouri.
Burnley and Chelsea are at the forefront of the total number of income, in which both parties sign four players for permanent deals. Only seven parties still have to secure a signature.
Arsenal loaded 17 players, while Wolves (13), Burnley and Spurs (both 10) also cut their squadrons considerably.
Cunhas £ 62.5 million transfer to United is so far the most expensive deal in the window, followed by Tijjani Reijnders (£ 46.3 million), Rayan Ait Nouri (£ 36 million), Jean-Clair Todibo (£ 35 million) and Rayan Cherki (£ 34m).
In terms of expenditure, Bournemouth cashed in 50 million from the sale of Dean Huijsen to Real Madrid, while Sunderland Jowe Bellingham sold to Dortmund for £ 32 million and City also sold Yan Couto to the Bundesliga Club for £ 25 million.
Chelsea sign a striker – but Arsenal is still looking for one
Chelsea strengthened their front line prior to the club World Cup with the £ 30 million arrival of Liam Delap from Ipswich.
The 22-year-old was one of the three signing sessions together with Mamadou Sarr and Dario Essugo, who were recruited on time to play in the US. Estevao Willian will participate in Palmeiras after the tournament – and he could be confronted with Chelsea there while he appears before the Brazilian side.
Arsenal target Benjamin Sesko emerged as an option for Saudi Pro-League club Al Hilal while she was clambering to make a tent on time for the World Cup club, but the RB Leipzig-Spits's preference to play in Europe in Europe in Europe in Europe in Europe in Europe in Europe in Europe in Europe.
Sesko will be one of the names to pay attention to the rest of the summer, where Arsenal apparently prioritizes a movement for the 22-year-old prior to Sporting Lisbon's Viktor Gyokeres in their hunt for a striker. Adding a left wing player is another priority, with Real's Rodrygo under the list of goals. On the other side of the field, Arsenal is progressing with a deal to sign Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga and is expected to activate the £ 5 million release clause of the Spaniard.
Liverpool Agreements Club-Record recording, with more arrivals on the road
The Gunners, however, took a backseat in the early course of the window, with Premier League champions Liverpool who now agrees to a British record transfer of £ 116.5 million to sign Florian Wirtz van Bayer Leverkusen after the German playmaker had rejected Bayern München.
However, the Reds have lost the most important player Trent Alexander-Arnold for £ 10 million and goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher to Brentford in a £ 18 million deal.
But Liverpool, who has goalkeeper Giorgi Mhandashvili who joins Valencia, has already signed a right-sided player after the exit of Alexander-Arnold, with the £ 29.5 million arrival of Jeremie Frimpong.
Leftback has made Liverpool a first contact for Bournemouth defender Milos Kerkez.
In the meantime, Atletico Madrid is interested in signing Andy Robertson.
Luis Diaz established doubts about his future when he revealed that he was talking to other clubs while he was gone with Colombia after the Merseyside Club had rejected an approach from Barcelona.
Diaz is one of the two goals that Barca has for the forward position, together with Marcus Rashford of United, whose future seems to be certainly away from Old Trafford. Interest is expected in the 27-year-old, who costs £ 40 million this summer.
Man Utd has made the most expensive signature so far
United was unusually out of the blocks with their company after signing Cunha van Wolves for £ 62.5 million – the most expensive signing of the summer to date.
Ruben Amorim's side is already looking at their second summer signing with an approach for Brentford attacker Bryan Mbeumo. The bees have rejected their £ 55 million opening offer, although conversations are continued and United is expected to return with an improved offer for the Cameroon Vooruit, with a value of more than £ 60 million.
However, Tottenham has now held initial discussions with Brentford about a deal for Mbeumo, which is more intrigued in a Spurs movement now that Thomas Frank has been appointed as head coach, although the player is still understood as tends to United, who is expected to go back with a new offer for the 25-year-old.
Once that has been completed, the plan is to try to sign a striker. Gyokeres is one of their goals and approaches in advance via intermediaries for the sporty frontman, although recent reports in Portugal claim that the player would prefer a move to Arsenal.
United has also been in the race for Eintracht Frankfurt -striker Hugo Ekitike – who is also interesting Liverpool and Chelsea – according to Sky in Germany. However, it will probably cost a few sales to facilitate further signing sessions after the possible arrival of Mbeumo.
Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho and Antony are among those who can go with a lot of expected interest. Rasmus Hojlund is a target for Inter Milan, but has said he expects to stay in United, even though the club is linked to other strikers.
The final of the Europa League of United, Tottenham, must make a new addition to their team that Thomas Frank has appointed to replace the dismissed Ange Postecoglou. But Spurs have performed their interest in Bournemouth striker Antoine Semenyo, with a value of £ 70 million by the South-Coast Club.
Expect the things to come up when the transfer window is opened again on Monday for business, before it closes on 1 September at 7 p.m.
