The surprising price of Real Madrid vs Barca Super Cup final tickets in Saudi

A packed house is expected for the 2025 Spanish Super Cup final, with the number of Real Madrid fans expected to outnumber their Barcelona counterparts in Jeddah.

While the first semi-final of the Spanish Super Cup in Saudi Arabia in 2025 attracted 39,000 spectators and the second almost 47,000 spectators, everything changes with the prospect of Real Madrid and Barcelona facing each other in the final in El Clásico.

Both the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) and Saudi organizers expect the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium to be completely filled, or very close to it. The number of Real Madrid fans will outnumber their Barcelona counterparts, but supporters of the Catalan giants will also be present in large numbers.

How much do tickets cost for the 2025 Spanish Super Cup final?

Final attendance is expected to be around 60,000, with hopes of a last-minute surge to sell out the venue. However, fans wanting to attend will need deep pockets, with a minimum ticket price of $850.

However, there were also much cheaper tickets, which were unsurprisingly sold out. Briefs that were available for as little as $50 are long gone, as are those for $70, $110 or $150. Only premium packages remain: the “silver” package for $850 and the “gold” package for $1,400. Everything else is gone, or almost.

Alternatively, fan clubs from Saudi Arabia can offer you the best deal. Blancos KSA, based in Jeddah, has 700 tickets made available by Real Madrid. “I believe we are the only ones who still have reasonably priced tickets. We hope to sell them all, but there are still a few left,” said a representative. What is considered reasonable? $70.

Real Madrid – Mallorca semi-final marred by fan incidents

The difference in fanbases will not be as stark as in the semi-finals, where unpleasant incidents (including reports of harassment and groping) occurred with local Real Madrid fans mocking Mallorca supporters who had traveled to Jeddah.

Not Vinicius, nor Mbappe… favorite players of Saudi fans

Barcelona has gained many fans in Saudi Arabia. “Because of Messi, but also Iniesta is very popular here,” explained a Saudi fan wearing a Barça jersey, with no name on the back, as he strolled through Al Balad, the historic part of Jeddah. This goes some way to explaining why Pedri is treated like a superstar in the Gulf state. “He's like a young Iniesta,” the fan smiled.

Interestingly, Real Madrid's most admired star in the region is a player with a similar style: Luka Modric. While there has been a lot of buzz surrounding Vinicius, Kylian Mbappe and Lamine Yamal this week, midfield schemers Pedri and Modric appear to be the main fan favourites.

El Clásico fever hits Jeddah

On Sunday, local supporters will finally get the chance to see Modric in real life, now that the Croatian has recovered from the flu. “Finally! It really hurt us a lot that he didn't play in the semi-final,” rejoiced a Madrid follower.

The majority of fans for both teams will be local, as both Real Madrid and Barcelona have stated that they have not received many ticket requests from outside the Arabian Peninsula. Yet the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium is almost sold out. “We have waited a long time!” another fan raged. This will be the first Clásico in Jeddah and anticipation is at its peak.
