Arsenal had several excellent artists in their 3-0 win over Real Madrid in their first leg of the Champions League quarterfinals on Tuesday, and one of those players is now tipped as someone who could make the switch to the Santiago Bernabeu in the future.
William Saliba has reportedly attracted interest from the Spanish capital in recent months, but it is Bukayo Saka who was promoted as a player would improve the Carlo Ancelotti team, as Arsenal Icon Emmanuel Petit told William Hill earlier this week.
“Bukayo Saka could easily play for Real Madrid. He is one of the best players in the world in his position, even in this early stage of his career. It is incredibly rare to see someone returning from injury and consistently perform at such a high level, as he did on Tuesday evening.
“His contributions in terms of goals and assists are elite. Just look at his performance against Real Madrid-Hij was absolutely crucial for Arsenal. One-on-one, in the flank, he is a nightmare to defend. If Real Madrid would make a step for him, I know for sure that their fans would be more than happy.”
Petit is also of the opinion that Saka could be a candidate for the Ballon d'Or from 2025, if Arsenal won the Champions League – on the other hand he would expect Kylian Mbappe to stop from the race if Real Madrid would be eliminated on Wednesday.
“The Ballon d'Or race is incredibly tight this year. Without a World Cup or Euro, the spotlights are firmly on the Champions League. That places even more weight on performances of players who are still in the competitions its Raphinha with Barcelona, Ousmane Dembele at Paris Saint-Germain-Zene are very bad.
“After Arsenal's first legs of Real Madrid has been won, it is difficult to ignore the impact that could have on the chances of Kylian Mbappe. If he is eliminated early, it will fall his business.
