Theo Hernandez return gaining traction at Real Madrid

The left back is once again becoming a problem position at Real Madrid. Regular starter Ferland Mendy has been very disappointing this season and even his backup Fran Garcia could not convince. As such, Carlo Ancelotti brought them both on for Sunday's win over Sevilla, with Eduardo Camavinga playing there.

Real Madrid hoped to address the problem next summer with the arrival of Alphonso Davies, although it now seems more likely that he will sign a new contract with Bayern Munich. Therefore, alternatives are now being considered.

According to TEAMtalk (via ED), Real Madrid are increasingly open to re-signing Theo Hernandez, whose situation at AC Milan appears unclear. He has lost prominence in recent months and with his current contract expiring in 2026, he could be available at a reduced price next summer.

Hernandez would be an excellent signing for Real Madrid, especially if he can be acquired cheaply. He's also only 27, so he still has a lot of years ahead of him.
