The 40-year-old defender then laughed completely and joked with FIFA that the older players in the team as he will get the most out of their recovery time for their quarter-final from Friday in Orlando.
“I think we played very well in this competition, it's not easy to play against European teams, but the motivation for us is different,” said Thiago Silva. “I am also very proud of my team and myself because I had a hamstring injury ten days ago. It was not easy to play today.
“Now we have to recover well, because after three or four days we have to play again. I am not young, you know? So I have to recover well.”
