Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois seemed to get away from their 3-0 win over Real Oviedo with a completely different picture of home support than teammate Vinicius Junior. The Brazilian led to anger during his festivals of the home crowd, but suffered more common racist abuse.
Vinicius helped Kylian Mbappe's second goal in the Nuevo Carlos Tartiere Stadium, which bounced in 24 years for their first La Liga match. During his celebrations for his own goal, Vinicius seemed to keep two fingers in a gesture to the fans who took many as 'a Segunda' [To Segunda].
In the meantime, teammate Courtois made it clear that he very much thought that the fans of Oviedo are at least La Liga level. After the match, Courtois posted the following message on social media.

Oviedo President Martin Pelaez focused the problem publicly on Tuesday afternoon after the images appeared on Monday evening. Pelaez spoke to the media and made the next statement before he accepted questions.
“This institution condemns any act of racism, sexism or discrimination of any nature whatsoever. We work together with security personnel and the police to investigate what happened, and if there is even the least evidence that this happened, the responsible person will be punished because we cannot tolerate this.”
Real Oviedo is preparing for organizing Real Sociedad on Saturday evening, while Real Madrid RCD Mallorca welcomes the same night at the Santiago Bernabeu.
