Thibaut Courtois uses bizarre ketchup analogy to describe Real Madrid teammate Kylian Mbappe
There has been a lot of attention for Kylian Mbappé in recent days. He missed a crucial penalty in Real Madrid's Champions League defeat to Liverpool on Wednesday night, although he recovered four days later when he scored in Real Madrid's 2-0 win over Getafe on Sunday.
That goal was Mbappe's tenth since joining Real Madrid last summer, the total coming from nineteen appearances. For many, this is a serious underachievement, although teammate Thibaut Courtois expects him to start gaining momentum now, according to Diario AS.
“Kylian Mbappé is a player with a lot of quality. He's like a ketchup bottle with sauce in it. It seems like the sauce isn't coming out, but suddenly it all comes out. And I think that's what's going to happen to him.”
Mbappe will be hoping to start a scoring streak after his goal against Getafe, and will be back in action on Wednesday when Real Madrid travel to San Mames to take on Athletic Club.
