“It will be a difficult game, I came across them with Inter and Lazio,” he said Inter TV. “They are a solid and well -drilled side, but we will play our strengths, as we have done so far.

“I know what Coaching Inter means. There has been a lot of joy, some disappointment, but we always think about honoring all competitions and competitions in the best way.

“This team has fought in its DNA and competes on all fronts. We know that it takes enormous effort, so the players deserve to be embraced and celebrated, just like our fans always do.”

Inter has only admitted two goals in the Champions League of this season, while they have now emerged from each of their last 10 large European knockout tires when winning the first stage.

And Thuram, who scored in both legs against Feyenoord, despite struggling with an ankle problem, believes that the Nerazzurri should not fear anyone.

“All teams are defeated,” said the attacker. “It will be difficult against Bayern, but we will see.

“If you are at Inter, you play every game to win and if you win them all, great things happen at the end of the year. It is not a question about believing or not believing.

“My ankle has been giving me a few problems for a month, but I play through it. Sometimes it's bad, sometimes it's better, but I'm not 100%.”
