Tottenham boss Thomas Frank wanted to take Bryan Mbeumo to North London, but the Brentford star is now ready to become a member of Manchester United in a transfer with a big money
Thomas Frank showed his class by acknowledging that Bryan Mbeumo completely earns a great movement while closing a transfer to Manchester United – although the Dane wanted to reunite with his star Vooruit in Tottenham.
Mbeumo, 25, was praised by top clubs this summer after he broke the barrier of 20 goals in the Premier League for the first time last season. Arsenal, Newcastle and Spurs are all credited with an interest in the Cameroon Star, together with United.
Frank supervised the beautiful season of Mbeumo in Brentford before moving to Tottenham and took the versatile attacker to Noord -Londen.
But Mbeumo only had eyes for United and is now close to getting his wish with a deal with a value of £ 71 million including add-ons now.
Despite the missing of a deal for his former player, there were no sour grapes from Frank when he first addressed the press as Spurs Manager; And he even took the opportunity to sing mbeumo's praise.
“Bryan is of course a fantastic player,” said Frank. “I have been with him for five years. I think he earned the move, regardless of where he is going.
“As a player, I wish him the very best if you've been to a player for so long.”
Mbeumo is expected to undergo a medical and switch to Manchester United during the weekend before joining the Ruben Amorim team during their pre-season Tour through the United States.

He joins Matheus Cunha through the door at Old Trafford this summer, while the club had imposed their attack after scoring only 44 goals in the Premier League last season.
United is expected to increase their efforts to sign a new No. 9 once the Mbeumo switch has been completed, although they may have to discharge some of the players who are considered the excess before they can punish further Big-Money Deals.
Antony, Alejandro Garnacho, Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho are among the transfer this summer. However, nothing has been agreed in terms of a transfer for one of the players, which means that United has not been able to strengthen their summer transfer budget with extra funds so far.
