TIGRES have locked their second reinforcement for the upcoming Apertura 2025 tournament of the Liga MX, where Mexican forward Édgar López is left.
A League MX winner with Toluca
Sources near the club confirmed as México that the López, established in Monterrey, has acquired for a one -year loan agreement from Toluca, with an option to buy.
The nickname 'Gacelo', the 26-year-old striker is expected to report to Tigres in the coming days to start the preparations for the new season.
López scored 13 goals and four assists in 85 performances for Toluca, and was part of the team that recorded the Clausura 2025 title under head coach Antonio Mohamed.

So far, López is joining Ángel Correa – who came to the Spanish club Atlético Madrid last month – as the only confirmed additions to the Tigres -Roster.
The club stays on the market for a defensive midfielder after ending his interest in Luis Chávez because of problems with the injury.
