Jason Tindall promised to continue with rattling opposition bosses – like his' Wham! The feud of Hoodie continues today at Aston Villa.
Tindall, responsible for Newcastle, while Eddie Howe is recovering from pneumonia, led to a mass-tunnelbrawl during villas 3-0 Boxing Day defeat in St. James' Park.
Emery rather a handshake from Tindall, who sent the Spaniard and then wore a wham! Top to celebrate the victory.
In anticipation of today's collision, Tindall said: “The only thing you stand up during the fight is that you want to come at the top.
“I know the hoodie has received a lot of publicity, but you will certainly not see it in Villa Park.”
Tindall is known to friends and enemies like Mad Dog – but it is opposition managers that he has a talent to make foam foaming.
No 2 2 from Newcastle has been involved in public bus-ups with high-profile bosses such as Jurgen Klopp and Mikel Arteta.
With Eddie Howe put aside by pneumonia, Tindall has arrived, so that the Magpies led to large victories over Manchester United and Crystal Palace.
But after the Ruckus last Christmas it is the powder trip from Saturday evening to Aston Villa who promises to really test the discipline of the 47-year-old Toon-Assistent to the Limit.
Because it is not only Villa and Newcastle fans who have grown a rivalry over the years.
Both banks also rub each other in the wrong direction.
Fate has now given Tindall the leadership of the Geordies for their last confrontation with Villa.
And that will certainly pour gasoline into the flames – only four months after the bedlam broke between the two banks.
Emery was furious when Jhon Duran was sent away and protested against the fourth civil servant – when Tindall broke the flames by putting his finger on his lips.
A 20-man fight broke out during the break, with Tindall in its thickness when Villa analyst Victor Manas squared him and accused of lack of respect.
Mayhem followed and Villa's director of football activities, Damian Vidagany, landed on his back, while Tindall and Manas both became red by referee Anthony Taylor.
Both clubs were fined after accepting FA statements – but Tindall, who returned with a Wham at the end of the game! Hoodie, denied the allegations against him.
Newcastle said they could not offer CCTV images of the chaos.
Villa was enough to mention it in their statement to the FA, with the text: “Mr Tindall appeared in the tunnel on the 85th minute with a Wham! Jumper jokes with other members of Newcastle United staff.”
Tindall had previously had Emery, who refused to shake his hand after the last visit of Newcastle to Villa Park, when the Magpies won 3-1.
Asked if he would shake the hand of Emery this time, Tindall replied: “I will certainly hold my hand out and if the manager wants to shake it, I am sure he will do that.
“There was a lot of talk for the match about the hoodie.
“It was agreed in advance and a fan asked me before the competition to wear it, and I said I would do that if we won.
“If people who don't know I want to talk, that's fine.”
Asked for Tindall on Friday Emery replied: “I have no problem. Sometimes we can be extremely competitive. But if we get the balance good, there is no problem. I will concentrate on the game and of course send my best wishes to Eddie.
“I hope he will come back soon and is healthy.”
The bitterness in the stands goes back to May 2009 when Villa fans unfolded the banners who 'Sob on the Tyne' and 'Who's your next Messiah, Ant or Dec?' To celebrate a victory that sent their opponents to the championship.
Now Newcastle has some bragging after landing their first large domestic trophy for 70 years after last month's Carabao Cup triumph.
They look down on Villa from third place on the back of the five most important victories on the spider.
And the tone has won five of their last six meetings.
Spaniard Emery added: “They are at their best moment. They feel confident and strong.
“There are still 18 points to play for and they have five more than we do – this means a lot!”
