TNT Sports unveil line-up for new season with 2 men joining after Ferdinand exit

TNT Sports's report on the Premier League will return this weekend and the Punditry team will look very different during the campaign

TNT Sports has confirmed that Gareth Bale and Mikhail Antonio play a key role in their reporting for the new Premier League season. The broadcasters will show more than 700 live games in domestic and European football during the coming campaign.

And their Punditry team has already undergone a major change, with long-term expert Rio Ferdinand who leaves at the end of last season. And now TNT has confirmed who will take the reins of the Manchester United icon.

Former Tottenham and Real Madrid Gareth Bale will play a prominent role that have been taken in Punditry since his retirement. He could be seen on TNT reporting on the Europa League final between Spurs and United.

And Bale will be accompanied by Antonio, who is now without a club after his exit of West Ham United. The Jamaican attacker did not officially announce his pension after his car accident earlier this year.

Antonio has already been an expert this season, after he has given his expertise for the victory of Crystal Palace against Liverpool on Sunday. Bale and Antonio will participate in an already stars-lined line-up from experts.

Ally McCoist, Owen Hargreaves, Joe Cole and Peter Crouch are all regularly on the canal. But Ferdinand will not be admitted after his decision to leave.

A statement from the former defender in May reads: “After 10 incredible years, I made the difficult decision to leave TNT -Sport after the final of the Champions League. Since it retired from football, it has been a privilege about the game I have been looking for for ten years for sport fans looking at BT Sport and TNTport.

“I want to recognize the enormous support of the team behind the scenes, whose hard work is often unseen, but has been essential for our success. For everyone at TNT Sports we have a brilliant end of the season to look forward to Saturday and for now all the focus on what I think could go as one of the big European final.
