Todd Boehly says that the owners of Chelsea can go their own way if they cannot agree on the future of Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea bosses are considering leaving or expanding Stamford Bridge, seen with Earl's Court as a possible new location.
All options are evaluated with the project that is complicated by converting the limited space in London.
In an interview with Bloomberg, Boehly suggested that plans for the stadium refund of Chelsea can decide whether he will remain Clearlake Capital in collaboration with majority owners.
“We have to think about what we are trying to achieve in the long term,” said Boehly.
“We have a great chance for stadium development that we have to work out. That is where we are tailored to whether we will eventually decide to go in different ways.”
Clearlake Capital is supposed to be completely behind the new stadium project of Chelsea and to be taken in the long term.
A gap between the co-owners of Chelsea arose at the start of this season, with both parties that are said to be said to buy each other.
Asked if he was closer to a decision about the sale of his interest in Chelsea, Boehly added: “I think the status -quo is something that is fine. I think we got what we have learned from each other.
“And, you know, I think we can really work it out how.”
Sky Sports News reported in September that Boehly had been unhappy with the way the club was run and that he did not want Mauricio Pochettino to lose his job as a head coach at the end of last season.
But he insists that those who are in charge of Chelsea are on the same page and pointed to the position of the team in the Premier League table as proof of their plan with fruit.
Chelsea is currently fourth to go with nine games, because they hope to secure the Champions League qualification for the first time under this property group, with the fifth expected to do that.
“If you look at the evolution of the team, we are tailored to what we are trying to do and what we are trying to build,” said Boehly.
“It is a team that is young, it is a team that has long contracts, and all these things were new.
“To do all those things we have done, it is clear because we are coordinated. So I think if you look at what actually happens and you will not follow the shiny light, you will see that there is core stability.
“We implement a plan that will eventually have Chelsea where it belongs. I mean, we are now sitting on the top floor in the table.”
